Data Controls

Each agent decides what RevRing keeps from its calls. Turn on personal-detail removal and every call’s transcript and summary are cleaned before they are stored, shown in the dashboard or sent to your post-call webhook.

After every call, each personal detail in the transcript and summary is replaced with a label naming what was removed:

Caller: Sure, it's [person_name], [phone_number]. My date of birth is [date_of_birth].
Agent:  Thanks [person_name], you're booked for Tuesday at 3pm.

What is removed (all of these by default):

Category	Examples
`person_name`	A caller’s first, last or full name
`phone_number`	Phone numbers, in digits or spoken (“four one five…”)
`email`	Email addresses, including spoken forms (“jane at example dot com”)
`address`	Street addresses, unit numbers, postal codes
`date_of_birth`	Birth dates
`government_id`	Social Security, passport, driver’s license and tax ID numbers
`payment_card`	Card numbers, expiry dates and security codes
`bank_account`	Bank account, routing and IBAN numbers
`account_number`	Customer, member, policy, order and claim numbers
`password_or_pin`	Passwords, passcodes, PINs and security answers
`medical_record_number`	Medical record, patient and health plan member IDs

To remove only some categories, list them in piiCategories:

How it behaves:

The redacted transcript and summary are what is stored, shown in the dashboard and sent in the post-call webhook (in every webhook format). Tool call arguments and results in the transcript are redacted too.
Your agent’s own name, your business name, product names, prices and appointment times are kept.
Extracted data (postCallExtraction) and evaluation results are produced from the full conversation and are not redacted, since they hold exactly the fields you asked for. Call variables you send are kept as you sent them.
Recordings are not changed.
If redaction cannot run for a call, its transcript text is withheld rather than stored with personal details.

In the dashboard

Open the agent, go to the Advanced tab, and set Call data storage to Remove personal details from transcripts and summaries.
